clicking relay near the accelerator pedal

ok CX9 owners...so I have a 2010 CX9 grand touring model and this just happened a few weeks back....I was driving my wife CX9 and noticed a clicking when I seem to press the accelerator, it only happens in drive, in neutral I do not hear it. but at low accelerations I hear and feel what sounds almost like a relay clicking near the accelerator pedal....I have searched the web with no leads for this problem....and the stealership just wants me to bring it in for inspection they said maybe a CV axle issue? It does not seem to affect the drive at all or braking...its just a little annoyance when driving...that irritates me...any help or ideas would be appreciated...Thanks!
