are the factory Bose speakers even 4ohm? If so, it seems out of place of Bose to use a standard/common place rated speaker.

What were the markings on the back of the factory speakers?

Are you driving these with another amplifier you are you driving them with the factory Bose Amp?

My experience with Bose car audio is that Bose components do not place well with non-bose components. The speakers are usually some odd impedence that is not an industry standard and is proprietary to Bose, thus the previous statement about Bose parts playing/not playing with other components.

They look nice.

Front door speaker

Do you need an amp if doing to a non bose setup?

Id like to swap the speakers out with something of better quality but wondering if the head unit will be able to handle them.

Also looking into putting in an under seat powered sub. Guess Id have to tap into the speaker wire with a PAC line out device.

Noob when it comes to audio equipment. I get the car friday!!
