To keep things a bit cooler in the cabin, I added a rally roof scoop. This also adds positive pressure inside the car to keep the dust down. I centered things up and held my breath as i cut into my roof

Nice man, I've never seen a roof scoop IRL before, so this is pretty interesting.

Do you have plans to pull the A/C?

AC does work there is a leak somewhere. I recharge it periodically but it's not a huge priority for me to try to fix it right now. I'm in prepared front-wheel-drive class in the prepared class they do not allow you to pull for the AC components but it is talk about changing that rule for 2019

This thing is rad! Love the skid plate and light bar setup.

What's the rules around weight reduction, how much stuff do you have to keep?

In Prepared class, a quick glance at the rules says seats can be changed, but I think Modified class is where accessories (power steering, air conditioning, etc) and remnants of the interior can start to be removed. (Rule 3 under Modified reads as follows: All non-essential componentsmay be removed, replaced orrelocated for
the purpose of weight reduction [...].

Only real weight reduction you can do in prepared is changing of the front seats, same wheel, battery, and lightweight flywheel

I have to say that spray can job looks pretty good for what it is. Looks like a ton of fun driving out there too. How does the celica MAF work though?

The 1.6 shares the same MAF that Toyota uses of the Celica and with some cold air setups the OEM doesn't meter the air correctly but the Celica MAF just smooth everything out

Sweet shots! Good to hear from you about your build again.

Am definitely interested in how that flywheel installation will go.

Here's to you not running into the same issues we did installing a Miata flywheel into our G series box on the Escort GT; if you've not yet installed everything else, do yourself a favor and hook the slave back up and have a feel of the engagement from in the car. We had to shim the pivot fork with a washer as the engagement was obscenely low. Looking on RockAuto, the flywheels interchange, so I'm doubtful any issues will arise.

Chuffed to see an update, and one that includes great news at that!
