So my father and I started to rallycross about 2 years ago with our daily drivers. (dad Mazda3, me Subaru forester) We decided we want a car just for Scca Rallycross, the craigslist hunt was on. I had some 4x100 wheels laying around from my VW days so wanted to use them, and we wanted 5speed. After a few weeks of looking this came up 2000 lx 1.6L
It was $300, got rear ended by uninsured driver but 10,000 miles before it got hit, the timing belt, thermostat, water pump, camshaft seals, axles, clutch and throw out bearing was replaced. It had 250,000miles on the clock but full service history back to 2003. we bang out the rear to get taillight back on so it was road legal, and give it a paint job because champagne is not a rally color
next we put king springs and and new kyb Gr2 struts on plus a Mk5 VW dieselgeek aluminum skid plate
