    Rallycross BJ Protege

First off i'll start with if you quick updates follow on instagram https://www.instagram.com/rallytege/

So my father and I started to rallycross about 2 years ago with our daily drivers. (dad Mazda3, me Subaru forester) We decided we want a car just for Scca Rallycross, the craigslist hunt was on. I had some 4x100 wheels laying around from my VW days so wanted to use them, and we wanted 5speed. After a few weeks of looking this came up 2000 lx 1.6L

It was $300, got rear ended by uninsured driver but 10,000 miles before it got hit, the timing belt, thermostat, water pump, camshaft seals, axles, clutch and throw out bearing was replaced. It had 250,000miles on the clock but full service history back to 2003. we bang out the rear to get taillight back on so it was road legal, and give it a paint job because champagne is not a rally color

next we put king springs and and new kyb Gr2 struts on plus a Mk5 VW dieselgeek aluminum skid plate

those look like '02-'03 Subaru seats(i have some too $125 for pair junkyard find also),how do you plan on fitting the front mount brackets to our stock mount holes,i know the rears are direct bolt in.
Wondering if i should cut the front bracket and re wield it or heat it and bend it 15 degrees about?Worried about the heating method for safety reasons though.
Oh Yeah, thats looking like too much fun for me to miss trying one day..

I dig it man. As someone who RallyCrossed their P5 and is now in an Escort GT, I LOVE this form of motorsports a ton! If you want to try something for an event, pull an endlink for the front swaybar. You'll get more body roll up front, but the freed up movement of each corner, coupled with a more tail-happy rear, can help in any lower speed situations you may come across.
    I need a brain.

Pulling the front sway bar, definitely an idea I was playing with. Maybe next month I'll get out there and try
