Here is how my cockpit looks like now with the dashcam and Radar Detector Hardwired and Phone holder using the Spigen Kuel.

So you stuck the dashcam mount onto the sensor housing? Or am I looking at it wrong?

@finch204
Yes stuck the dashcam mount to the housing of the the RADAR/CAM. I used a double sided gorilla mount. I can still remove the dashcam easily cause it is only the mount attached to the housing.

I see. I would have done something similar on my 2016 but wasn't sure if I could cleanly take it off in the event that I sell our CX-5. Getting the dashcam mounted as centered as possible is ideal though. I have mine mounted slightly to the right and below the sensor housing.

Just use a gorilla double sided mounting tape. Secures it pretty well and you can take it off with a dental floss should you plan to sell your car

Clean rig man. How did you power the radar detector? Thanks.

I used mirror tap this time to power the RD. The dashcam is just the regular straight cord connected to the lighter socket. The cord is run through the roof liner down the a pillar

WAY too much stuff going on ....
your set up would drive me insane ...

I only have a Dash cam and its place on passenger side so I barely see it

I have a mirror tap and blendmount.

Did you tap into the harness connected to the rearview mirror or pull the black plastic cover off the front camera assembly and tap into that? Also, what were the wire colors for hot and ground? Greatly appreciate the info and your setup looks fantastic.

@Fruitwolf it is connected to the rear view mirror. Here are the pics. Hope this helps.

make sure you zip tie it after so it is securely connected.

I don't have a radar detector on our CX-5, but on my Speed3, I have it mounted on top of the dash via a sticky dash mat. I think it is an alternative and cost effective way to mount a radar detector.

Thanks for the pics and your help on this. In the CX-9 mirror, the center black wire is ground and the striped one right next to it is hot but only comes on when the car starts to complete the circuit.
