Ok another update, don't know what exactly I did to fix it but it's fixed. I took it apart and took the gauge off switched the metal backings off the gauge. Wiped down the whole Thing (making sure there was no skin oils) hooked it back up and it went up a quarter of the way, started the car let it run a bit and it went up to the halfway mark and stopped.
Guessing it's fixed.
