Got me a P5

Thanks. Looking at getting OBDLink LX Bluetooth Scan Tool or Oxygentle Universal Car OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner. The bluetooth one looks attractive but I see the advantage of a completely independent tool in case for whatever reason I cannot connect to my phone.

If the MP3 flash is easy and doesn't impair the vehicle and gives the car more ommph + smoother response then I think I'd like to give it a go. If my math is correct it's about $5-$6 difference on a full tank going to premium. So I assume I'd have to remove the ECU, get someone to flash it correctly, then plug it back in. Seems the actual MP3 ECUs are hard to find and/or expensive.

There was a guy named Spicy Orange that was flashing ECU's for people... I don't know if he is still doing it.

I'm pretty sure the flashed ECU only works on a manual transmission.
