Been awhile..

:
Mazda P5
So I got a code thrown at me, p0445 large EVAP leak. Gas cap replaced light came on about 5 days later, replacing the purge valve, my question is if it comes back on where exactly is the vent Valve/tube for the gas tank?
I want to make sure the vent tube is clear, I looked at the lines from the purge valve and the canister under the hood and none seem to have a hole or leak.

The vent tube runs beside the filler neck. It connects to the check valve. (part #7)

If your code comes back, check for a stuck check valve or stuck CDCV.

I'd assume having a big leak is better than having a small one... It should be both easier to find and is probably a stuck valve.

Keep in mind, the fuel level needs to be between 35% and 85% for the ECU to start monitoring for a leak.
A big leak should register quickly.

Did you use a oem fuel cap, if not go get a oem one. Aftermarket caps are universal and will not sit properly. That what we tell our customers here at chevy.
