LOL I'm here. Funny this subject would come up. My wife minored in marketing so we often talk about commercials.
The Volvo ones FOR YEARS have annoyed the s*** out of us. The Van Damme one is great but you have to go back to the 70's to find a good commercial. Seriously, marketing can make or break you and I don't know how Volvo survived. O wait, that's right: THEY DIDN'T. Ford bought them, and then sold them to a Chinese company.
The commercials haven't gotten any better. The cars have, imo, improved since Geeley took over...but these commercials.
They don't tell you ANYTHING about the cars. That's kind of important.
"Our idea of luxury" is one tag line used in some ads this year...and they don't tell you ONE thing about what Volvo's idea of luxury actually IS.

I think you have to have kids to love it though.

I can appreciate the love, but transferring it to the car is a advertising trick that I reject. I here a lot of Subaru commercials on public radio and TV. I respect the car more then there advertising.
