Were any changes made to the rear of the 2016 to 2017 rear bumper?

I ask because I was looking for a rear bumper guard, sort of like a brush guard that I saw on CARID.com. It is a shaped pipe, i doubt it has much protection qualities, possibly mild steel.

I'm also interested in installing a rear bumper guard and called a couple of places. I'm waiting for them to confirm the guards would fit the 2017 model. It's also important to consider if it would interfere with the BSM or rear traffic alert (if you have these features) since the sensors are located on the bumpers.
