Tail lights on 2016 Touring

I noticed that the horizontal parts of my tail lights do not light up, as I've seen in pictures of other 2016s. Only the circle lights up. Do the horizontal parts only light up on the Grand Touring or Signature models?

On closer inspection of my tails, they don't even have anything that would light up the horizonal sections, so I think the answer to my question is yes.
