Any idea whether there is a way to lower the speed that the auto cruise control works? I'm asking mainly for traffic situations.

Any chance that they'll come out with an update for US cars that lets us use the CX-9 in true stop-and-go traffic? They have it on some foreign models.

Yeah we have stop start cruise in Australia

Hope 2018 CX 9 coming soon in US has stop and go cruise. CX-5 already has it, also a break hold feature.

Here in Cda the 2018s will have stop start radar cruise so most likely US models will have feature as well...

If it impacts Operations and its a real Hack, then I would not trust it personally even if it were available. Other hacks (like to the head unit) might be desirable, if they are good quality hacks. Maybe keeping the price of the CX-9 down had something to do with this, not sure. Mazda is certainly capable and the technology is clearly available and implemented elsewhere. I can't see this not making the list of improvements by or before the major 2020 redesign.
