Installing AEM intake on '14 2.5 GT?

:
2014 Mazda CX-5 GT
I was on the fence about getting a SRI, and have been waiting for an SRI with heatshield. Seems like AEM finally comes out with one (part # 21-779C), but it claims to be only compatible with '15-'16 2.5 CX5... From the look of engine bay photos between '14 and '15 I didn't spot any significant difference around the intake airbox area, so maybe I can give this a shot? Anyone has experience with those? Thanks.

Went ahead and did it, it was an easy swap, everything fits just fine.

Now is there is an easy way to reset ECU?

you don't need to reset the ECU for a new air intake. the ECU will adjust on it's own within 350 miles.

if you bought a "cold" air intake that draws air from inside the engine bay, you've wasted your money. stock is better then that.

stock airboxes make less power at high RPM, but it balances out by providing more low end torque. so it's more important to choose what you prefer. if you want more sound and power, I would do a cat delete + ECU tune.
