Thread: Fitting dash cam - can I remove some windscreen "dot matrix"?

    My Escort's beam, is through those dots and I don't have any issues.

    It won't expand it only enhances the sticking ability of suction cups. That is what radar detector enthusiast use if sticking suction cups on the 'FRITS" or dot matrix. Those dots are not antenna but are made of carbon fiber meant to shield driver from the sun glare when using the RVM.

    Those dots are pretty hard to remove I imagine, but sure, you could remove them.
