This info is not from the owners manual but from one of Australia's top oil suppliers. This is from their Lube data.
ENVIRO+ 0W-20 is a premium, full synthetic, SAE 0W-20 engine oil. It uses the latest advances in low to mid SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulphur)* additive technology and features low volatility synthetic base oil that minimises oil loss as well as an enhanced corrosion protection package for ensuring compatibility with ethanol based fuels such as E85.

From my 2016 CX5 owners manual, same oil is recommended for 2.5 as for 2.0:
API SG/SH/SJ/SL//SM/SN OR ILSAC
GF-II/GF-Iii/GF-IV/GF-V
Then, depending on temp range:
10W-30
10W-40
10W-50
5W-40
0W-20 or -30

Holy! Mazda has the most forgiving bearing clearances I have ever seen! they don't even make mention of 5w30 oil in that list...
I think I will be switching to 5w40 after the winter. should I? my dad does not drive aggressively.
