Initial Sales Figures for 2nd-Gen 2017 Mazda CX-5

Columbus Intl Airport Avis has rental Mazda's - 3 and 6. Not seen a CX-5, saw a Forester though, again a rare rental car. Next time I go there I will specify I need a Mazda or a Toyota atleast. No Nissans or Chevys please.

Interesting. I am generally stuck in a Rouge, Elantra or Camry with the occasional Kia. All terrible cars. Would love to find a nice 6 to rent!

Avis at San Antonio Intl has CX-5's. I've taken one a couple times when traveling there for work.

My guess is Mazda like here doesn't offer massive fleet/trade discounts hence their figures are less than other brands.

A friend once rented a CX-5 from Budget in LAX. There're plenty of Toyota's、Nissan's from those rental fleets in LAX. Sometime I could get Mazda's. But I've never seen Honda's available from those car rental companies in LAX.

So far I've only seen 3 other 2017 CX-5 on the roads in the SF Bay Area ...
I have yet to see another 2017 CX-5 in my work place's parking structure ...

I guess Mazda just don't burn the same $ on marketing as others, since
the typical Asian family in bay area buys a Toyota or Honda.

My street is the oddball...
Across the street I see a 2016 White Forester ,
right next door a 2016 White Nissan Rogue...
and I am the 2017 White CX-5 ... (boom08)

Today was a good day. Saw 4 CX-5s:
  • 2 x Maxx Sport
  • 1 x Maxx
  • 1 x GT

September sales in Australia not so good. Came third in its category behind the Hyundai Tucson and Mitsubishi Outlander! respectively. These rivals have aggressive sales pricing plus I hear we have supply issues with the CX-5 in Australia at the moment.

1 to 2 months delay atleast

1 Mazda 5! I wonder where this ended up? And how/why?
I thought MNAO has stopped selling Mazda5 mini-minivan since 2016? This statistic of single sale on Mazda5 must be a left-over last-year model.

My brother has a Mazda5 for 3 years and he still likes it a lot!

Nissan make good reliable cars, I've had four before I started with the CX-5.
I'm surprised to find the cx-5 next to bottom though.

Because people just don't know about them or how they have improved.
