help! how do i get my cds out of the oem six disc changer? (eject button does not work anymore)

Check for any trouble codes and then clear them.











Your eject motor or mechanism may have broken.
You will need to use the specialized CD extraction tool.

ok ... LMAO .... are you serious ? if the eject motor or mechanism is broken, is a sawzall or cutting wheel the only way to remove my CDs ?
Is there a FAQ with pictures somewhere on how to cut your CDs out of a dead Mazda head unit ?

No dude...
I was just being a smartass.

I would assume that you could remove the changer then unscrew the covers and then work the mechanism manually somehow or remove the blockage to release the CD's.

If you do need to cut something a grinder or rotary tool would be a better option.

Yes, once unable to eject the CD's you will have to disassemble the unit to get the stuck CD's out.

You could try to repair that eject button... does the button feel funky or sticky>?
