Bought my Mazda 5 Three weeks ago rear shocks were blown so I replaced the shocks and mounts. When I started driving it now drives way smoother but I'm still getting a clunk. I checked the sway bar links and sway bar bushings and they look good.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?!

I have a few ideas for you...

1. The Lower shock mount bolts need to be torqued to spec or they will rattle from the lower bolt.
2. The sway bar bushings will look good, but this is a wear item, and honestly 50k miles seems to be the lifespan.

OK will try those.

Any idea on the torque spec for them?

Also was just reading about possibility of weld bubble near shock spring seat area that may need grinding down.
What are chances of that?

Yes there was a TSB for that on the early ones.
It would be nice to inspect this area closely at the same time you are torqueing the lower shock bolts to: 56.35-74.49 ft/lb torque from Mazda Service Manual.

Here is a link to a specific how to/DIY that many here have found helpful.
