Agreed but why even make one if it is not useable for most of the time. I think it will only fit rayban type, I will give those a try.

I have a pair of prescription aviator sunglasses that fit in there no problem.

Yes the size is very disappointing, worthless for mine...

However my CX-5 sunglass holder holds my OAKLEY "FIVES" ok.

Same problem with me - surprised at how small that damn thing is. I do happen to have a pair of Ray Bans that fit though but anything bigger than that doesn't work. Was it the same size on the 2016? Seems weird that they would mess up something as simple as a sunglass holder.

I find all sunglass holders like that--they won't fit more modern wrap-around styles. Time to upgrade to so Aviators--those should fit.

I have my gate clicker in the sunglass holder. It doesn't hold anyone's glasses at all.

I'm able to keep mine in the holder, though I've gotten used to them "dumping out" when I open the compartment. I have to be ready to catch them.
