I was trying to make people more easily to decide between 2017 or 2016.5 CX-5's based on specs. But I hit wrong button ⋯ And thanks for the link!

Compare the features. None of the things in that chart would matter to me if I was buying today.

So gearing (at least for awd) seems identical. She gained weight as I correctly stated here about a month ago but gained 3hp- PTW from my '14 is up to 19.5 from ~19- not helpful but a huge deal. But on weight gain- I thought my earlier lighter version could've used a brake upgrade which +120lbs later I still don't see- same dia, still no vented rears Lost ~3/4" of ground clearance which I welcome. Raised height of cargo floor apparently to smooth out rise when seats flipped- def not a fan. Quieter, nicer interior and still a nice value but idk kind of a mixed bag for me (on paper obviously.) Oh- what's up with peak tq happening @4000 vs 3250 for AWD now..anyone know? Need to see the new curve but that could be bad. I'm actually looking forward to driving the 16.5 and 17 back to back. I think a 16.5 on red tag special could still be a very nice option even though its the "old" one...

I see an "interior lighting kit" listed as an accessory. First time for U.S.

I was interested in the Eternal Blue... but not with a black interior. Too hot in Houston for black in the summers!

I hear ya. I'm not a big fan of the all blank interior. That may change if they red accents used in the 6 or cx-9 do not get carried into the new cx-5.

Like I predicted, no Parchment with Sonic Silver. I wish Mazda can add gray interior like everybody else matching silver/gray exterior much better! Many people in hot southern states really hate all-black interior like shaendra said.

What's also annoying is Mazda does offer parchment with silver in the Mazda6. Blah.

So is the touring preferred package seriously $780? Did they really botch this in the official press kit?
