2017 Owner's manual is now available online (U.S./Canada/Mexico)

I don't get why car companies have been so slow to do this. If I was making the decisions at a car company I would put every manual for every car we make, OR EVER MADE, available online.

They do give you the option of choosing which version you have so on a CX-5 you can choose pre 16, 16 on and 17.

I think manuals for older is a good idea but this pdf thing is relatively new. Can you imagine for say a 1990 3, if it was never done in pdf it would have to be scanned.

I know the KG is due in the U.K. this month so it will be interesting to see when it updates.

Yes, my silver CX-5 only came with a coloured pamphlet “quick start guide”. They rely on you to download the pdf version. It saves quite a lot of money and to be fair, a lot of owners never take it out of the glovebox or they take it out and stick it a cupboard never to be seen again so they can fill up the glovebox with clutter.

All the full manuals and guides are freely available on the website.

I received hard copies of all and now have electronic copies as well.

It's only a relative new thing here re My Mazda. Nothing was available on line for the GJ Series II Mazda 6.
