The stock system is capable of blowing a speaker. I have done it...

SO was listening to audiobook via bluetooth and turned it up to eleven to be able to listen. (Even with volume on phone turned to max the audiobook output was very low.)
Then I borrow the car, switch to radio and !pop! goes the passenger side door speaker. Severely distorted base from that speaker now. Don`t know exactly how high she had the volume.
