After numerous issues with my iPhone 6s Plus on my 2016.5 CX-5 GT w/ Tech and 2013 Prius (Entune Suite), I went and bought a new ZTE Axon 7 and updated it to Nougat 7.0, and so far, both cars are wore working well with the new phone. I'm able to connect to Pandora, aha, and Sticter, as well as go back and forth between audio sources. I had no Pandora dropouts either in the CX-5. As for the Prius, the Entune suite started right up with no issues. I bought my phone at Best Buy, and the sales rep was telling me that many iphone users have issues with their car's infotainment systems, across most of the manufacturers (not just Mazda or Toyota).
We'll see how it goes, fortunately, Best Buy has a 14 day return policy, so if things get bad quickly, then I'll return it, but so far, things look promising.
