Ok, I am looking to install hitch and wiring harness. I wanted others input on the wiring harness as relates to the four flat connector. Looking for it to just be ready outside of vehicle vs. having to hang it out of back hatch and close door on it.

The version outside of the car seems do-able for sure. That being said is there an easier way? Anybody know about using the pre-existing plug like in first video above but then somehow routing it outside the vehicle easily?
