Remote sometimes doesn't work

I have a 13 Mazda 5 and i have had a few occasions where the remote won't open or lock the door, and i have to use the key to do so. This started to happen recently and happened to both of my remotes. After using the key to open the door, the remote worked fine again for a while.

Do you use them with roughly equal frequency? If so, then sure. It'd be the first thing I'd check, at least. Batteries are cheap.

I was having this same problem with both my remotes working then not working, the led would light up and everything.. was switching between remotes and using the key at times., then I replaced the battery in each fob, and bam both work like a charm. go with good batterys or you will be back to using the key in a few weeks.

Try new battery. I just had same and the battery I had spare was also dead
Try a fresh battery in one.
