Keyless entry on 2000 Protege LX?

When we bought the used 2000 Protege LX we got the keys but not the remote. The car does have power door unlock but we always need to use the key to unlock the doors. A thought just crossed my mind that maybe the car does support keyless entry and all we are missing is the fob?

Does anyone know if there is a way to check whether keyless is supported by the car?

Pull the rear plastic that covers the speakers. There should be a wireless receiver.

I pulled the right rear door trim and I'm not seeing anything like a keyless control module. :( Can someone point out where that thing is located?

oh man that was embarrassing. :p And that rear door trim was a PITA to remove lol. OK let me look that way instead..
