Door Mirror

I am replacing my drivers side door mirror. The question I have is do I need to remove the door panel or just the top cover by the mirror will be enough. I remember on my friends Mitsubishi that only the top cover had to be removed. I was wondering if it is the same with the cx-9. All input would be greatly appreciated.

here you go kornholio , no door panel removal required, this is a very simple fix, just that small triangular plastic trim pops out....

Just to let anyone who has the same problem know. It is simple but your better off with a telescoping magnet than a rag. I stuff a long rag in there and it just kept going down. I didn't feel to comfortable with that so I used a magnet that looks like a tv antenna I had laying around from years ago. That helped with the last screw that was closest to the firewall since you can't really pull it out with your fingers. I also used the magnet for putting the screws back on.
