Here are a few questions/suggestions to get you started:
1. What year is your Mazda 3?
2. Are the bulbs exactly the same as the factory-installed bulbs?
3. Did power fail during installation of the bulbs? If so, was the circuit energized? (battery connected and door open).
4. Do you have experience using a multimeter or other type of voltage indicator tool? If you do, start at the fuse box and work your way towards the bulbs that you replaced.
5. Have you actually checked the relevant fuses with a multimeter's continuity function?

as he stated above, also check for a fuse called "room" as my grandmas mpv had a similar issue and it was the "room" fuse had blown when the light failed

Yes, the "Room" fuse covers more than just the lights - at least that was the case in my MX6 GT.

the room fuse runs the bcm or body control module which is a basic computer to control keyless entry, lights, dash, and some various interior equipment, these blow sometimes if the light fails a certain way and overloads a circuit then it pops the fuse to save your wiring and computer, look for room or interior fuses and check them
