Wheel spacers

That would depend on what wheel and tire specs you're running

Another question, I'm looking to get aftermarket rims. I know the protege5 is a 5x114.3, would a 5x114 still work? Not sure if it's the same thing or not

It should be. They are likely just abbreviating 114.3 as 114.

If you're buying new wheels then just buy the wheels in the offset to get the fitment you want. Don't buy new wheels and spacers. Spacers are meant to change the offset of a set of wheels you already have.

You can only run about a 10mm spacer on the stock studs and even then it is a little sketchy. Even then you won't be close to flush, the stock P5 wheels are a high offset.
