2010 CX9 Map DVD will not feed into DVD slot

2010 CX9 Grand Touring with Bose. My Map DVD will not feed into the DVD slot causing the "a program cannot be read please consult to a dealer" message on touchscreen. Must be the feed mechanism because it does not even try to pull it in or make any motor noise. Tried negative battery cable off and the bose, audio and room fuses. I do not care about the NAV/GPS whatsoever. I just want to have use of the touchscreen again but I cannot get around this screen message. Any way to disable the NAV to bypass this screen? If not I am just going to put in an aftermarket Pioneer touchscreen with bluetooth. Thanks.

I hope I am remembering correctly, but there is a separate slot for the DVD for the Nav that is hidden....it is not the same one for listening to CD's....not trying to be condescending...I just want to make sure you are using the correct spot to load it....hopefully I'm not totally off-base.

Correct. The DVD for the NAV is buried in the trunk.
