Removing AC resistor CX-5 Touring 2014

I had issues with my AC fan stopping and instead of trying the relay first, I bought a blower resistor. Since them, I replaced the relay and it works fine but since I can't return the resistor I am going to install it. I am able to get to it after removing the glove compartment but I cannot seem to get it out. I am assuming it should turn slightly counterclockwise before pulling out but I wanted to make sure. Any ideas on how to remove it easily as I can't find any instructions on-line or videos. Thanks.
