2014 CX5 Rear Shock part # Change - KYB

I've got a late build 2014 Touring CX-5 (11/13). Earlier builds in 2013 KYB list rear shock part #349219. For mine since it was a late build in 2013 they list part #3440013 as the correct part number. Anyone know what the change is? I was going to buy a set of the #3440013 on Rock Auto and I see they are out of stock.

I ended up sending an email to KYB. Here is their response:

Good Evening
According to our data these parts are not interchangeable.
Part# 3440013 will not be available until 1st quarter of 2017 (Jan-March)
Please check back with us at a later time for availability.

Looking at MAZDA parts catalog, for FWD, in 2013, 2014, and 2015, the rear shocks all show the same part number.

For KYB shocks they made a change after a certain production date. Disappointed in the lack of alternatives for our car.

Koni FSD?

I have a soft spot for the FSD set, I had a set installed on a Mazda5 and it was perfect balance of comfort/sport.
