Good turbo choice for Protege?

So I finally bit the bullet and decided to turbo my 03 lx. I will be piecing it together and so far I only got the t2 manifold. Unfortunately it does not have an external wastegate flange so I'm going to have to go internal for the turbo. next step is finding a good turbo. so far ive been looking at the gt2860 or T04e they seem like a good fit but this is my first time doing a full turbo build. what you guys think would be a good starter turbo for boost levels around 8-12 psi?

I'd start out small and work my way up. Start with the stock msp setup and go from there. Just know that if you going to want to go further than that setup you will have to pay to play(build your motor).

I think I'm going to go with a gt2860rs. I am currently building a spare short block with K1 rods so a GT2860 should be a good fit, not too much lag but able to boost a little higher if wanted.
