Hi All,

I've had a CX-7, 2008 Turbo since 2011. It's been okay, though had to change oil cooler and timing chain at about 70K miles. The turbo has been functioning fine but at about 110K miles has begun to slowly burn oil.

I'm considering replacing it, but my mechanic quoted $1600+ for the parts and told me it would be $630 labor. The car is not worth a whole lot more than that cost of repair.

I have found that turbos are now available usually around $600-700 but today on eBay found a replacement for $160ish. That seems too good to be true!

Has anyone here had any experience with or seen these low cost turbos up close? Here's a link to the vendor's store: http://www.maxpeedingrods.com/Mazda...-L3M713700C-K0422-882-Turbo-Turbocharger.html
Here's the lower cost from the same vendor on eBay: https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)

Thanks for your replies.

I bought one. It bolts up and is identical to the oem. Haven't ran it yet but I'll let you know if you haven't already tried it by now.
