Well played, Mazda. Well played!

For those of you who have successfully changed your power steering belt: I salute you! I tried and had to hang my head in shame as I drove with no power steering to Firestone for them to put on.

I tried the zip ties, bumping the motor, stretch belt tool rental (not the one in the Mazda manual) and just couldn't get it. I consider myself fairly mechanically inclined and couldn't get it to cooperate. I have removed a corner from my man card accordingly.

For those that have also had this issue you are not alone! The main drive belt only took 5 seconds. [emoji12]

Huh. I would not have figured they would be so sadistic. Did you see how the shop did it?

Two guys and the correct belt stretch tool. I don't quite know how to describe it but it's kinda like a wedge.
