Is there a black leather sealant/protective polish you can use on the steering wheel?

I am freaking out because I nicked the leather on my steering wheel with my fingernail somehow and it took a tiny chunk out of it. The sun also breaks down the black on the leather over time so is there something really good that I can use on the steering wheel to protect it? Has anyone done this? 2012 Mazda 3.

If it's really leather, I recommend cleaning it every 6 months with leather cleaner and then conditioning it with Zaino "Leather in a bottle" (Z10). Its added bonus is that it smells exactly like leather. Zaino's cleaner is called Z9. You can find them here:

As far as I can tell it's real leather, but I think it's just on the steering wheel itself. I'm not sure if it's real leather where the Mazda symbol is on the center panel where the airbag is. This is a 2012 i-Touring.

VLR is great stuff, I use it on just about every surface in my car.
