Questions that have arisen during my A/C delete on my 2011 T

:
2011 Mazda 2 Touring
I have a 2011 Mada2 touring that currently is in the middle of a a/c delete. I removed the aluminum lines that run from the compressor to the dash and the compressor itself. I am awaiting the arrival of a idler pulley and associated hardware. I have 2 questions alright 3.

1. The wire which clips into compressor, was accidently broken during radiator support removal. In any case, will just capping the exposed end of the wire suffice? Or is there something I'm unaware of?

2.Will I need a new a new belt for the idler pulley? In other words, will the O.E. belt be too long? Or, can it be adjusted so that the O.E. belt will work?

3. Is there anything I've overlooked?
