Fitting Aftermarket LED Light to 2016.5 CX-5 - Canbus or not

...the DRL's do not come on unless the car is in drive. As soon as you put the car in park, they turn off...

...DRL's are still on when the car is stopped, and go off when the car is put into Park...

Patrick...I confirm your clarification confirmation, which confirms my clarification confirming our exchange from above (#16) that DRL's are ON when the car is in DRIVE, OFF when car is put in PARK!

As a side note....people must not read through any of the comments people post (or pat attention to "what" was said)...lots of repeating your self, or answers to questions that were never asked...

Moving us forward...

From looking at Bosch relay specs, I think the "pull-in" voltage is around 8 volts, and the drop-out voltage is between 1 and 5 volts. http://www.bcae1.com/relays.htm way on down the page lists pull-in/drop-out specs.

If no one else posts the DRL voltage here, I'll check it myself on our car and post the results.

I would guess that 7-8 volts, or 50%-60% full power would seem about right for the dim/yellow OEM halogen high beam DRL mode. So a standard Bosch auto relay opens up an entire world of options of having fully automated LED aftermarket DRL's mounted as an accessory onto the front end. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
