Corksport interior light kit worth it?

Hey guys, I'm looking to change out all the interior lights and the license plate light with LED's. I know corksport has a kit for $60, but im not sure it includes the license.

Is that a fair price? Does it make more sense to just purchase LED bulbs individually? If so, how can I figure out what bulbs I need?

I use this https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned) which includes license plate LEDs from eBay because they use newer and brighter 5730 rectangular LED chips:

These LEDs were in since last October and they still work without any issues.

The Corksport LED kit bulbs are too bright and white for vanity lights and your wife may not be happy about it. I use this https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned) for vanity mirror on the sun visors for "warm glow" effect with pretty good result:

Not the OP but ordered both of these off Ebay, thank you for the recommendation!

Wow, at that price it's worth it even if it goes out in a year.

Update: a couple months ago one of my dome lights and license plate lights started flickering. I would advise against these

If it's flickering it's probably coing out of the holder, which is an issue with a lot of these aftermarket LED, just fiddle with it or put a small piece of foil on one of the ends

Precision LED has an interior kit for 22 bucks, it seems to have only 4 or 5 LEDs. I think thats not a great deal.
Does the reverse light ruin the backup camera image due to its brightness at night for any of you guys?
And what brand name kit does anyone use? Not looking for generic eBay stuff.

I keep hearing about how these LEDs are supposed to last a lifetime and all that, but then everyone complains that their cheap LED bulbs burn out and need to replaced. What's the real deal?

The actual LED Components can and should last a long, long time. It is how those LEDs are engineered & designed for an specific application and then assembled that causes most of the issues and failures.

Wanted to follow up on this. I got rid of my cheap ebay LED's and replaced them with SuperBrightLeds.

x5 for the interior (I purchased a few extra by accident)

https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...d-led-tower-miniature-wedge-retrofit-car/206/
x2 for the license plate.

I just installed them today so I'll be sure to come back and comment if they start to flicker. In the meantime, does anyone have info on a kit to install vanity lights for a sport model?

I went with all VLEDS festoons. Got the 29mm size but chose 6K (bluer) rather than 5K (whiter). Three years service and they're still great.
You've all heard the phrase - you get what you pay for?

^^^ yup, definitely true with led's.
LOVE v-leds products, been running them on my RX8 for almost 10 years now.

I don't think I've seen it mentioned but do the CX-9 GT and Signature trim interior LEDs fit in the CX-5 and has anyone done this? And what is the cost?

Thanks.

Exactly. The eBay kits I got still work fine after 17 months of service. I do have one 194-equivalent license plate LED started flickering and I found the cheaply made wire contact simply lose connection to the bulb socket. That's why I really like this new style "single-cell-all-direction" 194/168 replacement LED with larger area copper flat contacts instead of solid wires coming out as contacts, and with the clear silicone coating that certainly is well made and should last a lot longer. The only problem is it may be too bright to someone's taste.

Hi,
I can recommend these as they are very bright and also comes in various colours: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot...umen-Silica-Super-Bright-LED/32692054812.html

They are easy to handle and I like the copper coated contacts on the PC board as well as the clear silicone coating. I have installed them on the licence plate lights and the longer ones on the reverse lights.
