08 cx-7 2.3l turbo need assistance

Having some issues with my Mazda, reckon it's about time for a new motor, turbo etc all still good. Do I have any options on other motors then another 2.3 turbo model? Also what all is different about the non turbo motor? Am I able to just take the neccessary turbo parts off my motor ? Seems like the salvage yards want 3k+ for a low mileage 2.3 turbo motor. Lot cheaper for the non turbo motor. I have done numerous searches on here and did not find one answer(spent over an hour) so could someone please be of assistance
