trying to hook up a Dashcam and going to run the wire across the A pillar behind the airbag on the passenger side. before I start pulling what do I look for? Any trick when unhooking those clip to prevent damage and where's the best place to pull the pillar out?

You've probably already done this, but if not, there are several clips you release pulling straight toward the rear view camera. Once you release all the clips, there's one at the top that will not release like the rest. It pulls out about 1/2 inch then stops. At this point you should be able to pull the A Pillar cover toward you in an upward motion toward the roof and lift it out. The top clip is actually a peg that is attached to the A pillar. The top of the cover has a horse shoe type loop that goes over the peg. The peg doesn't come all the way out, but will release when pulled on.

To reinstall you'll want to slide the panel into place from a top/down direction. You have to slide the horse shoe over the peg prior to popping all the clips into place. Always remember to disconnect the negative battery cable, turn the headlight switch to on, and press the brake pedal a few times to discharge any residual power prior to working around the air bags.
