I iluvmacs Member : 2003 Protege ES Aug 25, 2016 #3 I just replaced mine. Corroded through and wouldn't clamp. Did the cable burn or the clamp? Excessive current and long starting can melt the lead in the battery (ask me how I know). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
