Time for plugs. The OM (dated) has two plugs identified (LFG1 118110 and L3Y2 18110). It looks like the LFG1 is defunked. The updated 0000-18-L3Y2 equals NGK ILTR5A-13G. I cannot find any tech info on OE plugs on NGKs site but this could be bc they are branded Mazda. The closes match seems to be the OE Series LTR5BI-13. I plan to stick with NGK but their catalog offers 3 options without an exact match.
OM: Spark-plug gap 1.25―1.35 mm (0.049―0.053 in)
The pre-gapped setting for the lower tiers plugs appears to be off. They should to be adjust to fit the OEM recommend range. Also, since it is unlikely Ill keep this car for another 90K, I may settle for a lower durability plug in the Iridium IX but the G-Power is ridiculously cheap.
