Lift Kit Interest

Let me start out by saying I'm not trying to sell anything with this post, simply trying to gauge interest, so that I can approach a local fab shop about potentially Building a lift kit. If there is enough interest, and the local fab shop would agree to build some, I would go through all the proper means to establish a group buy.

I'm looking into a 2" lift kit. The local fab shop currently builds a top notch 2" Subaru Forrester lift kit.

Is there anyone potentially interested?

IDK if you have a cx-5, but the topic seems to pop up every few months.. lets see if they come out of the woodwork

Yeah I have a 2014 awd GT as my daily. I just lurk in the CX-5 forum, I know the post has come up several times and I'm hoping they come out of the woodwork, haha

I think it would look pretty good with a leveling kit but i see no point in actually lifting it.

I've seen enough people on here trying to off road and complaining about clearance or getting stuck/not being able to pass a terrain feature that I could see some of them using it. It would allow for a bigger tire as well.

I'd be interested in something like this for the 5.

Interested. I was looking at the multi height kit from https://www.spaccer.com/en_US/makes-and-models/mazda/cx-5.html
I'd want a 1" kit though.

the plan is to develop a spacer lift that would mount on top of your strut mount, similar to the link you provided. If there is enough interest i could see if they are willing to make a 1" and 2" version

like Chris said, i want a 1-2" lift for added clearance for a tire/offroad.
I go to alot of remote areas in Pennsylvania to kayak fish and or camp, and the road going tires just don't quite cut it anymore. I will be switching from the 225-55-19s that came stock on my car to a set of 245-65-17 all terrains. the tire will be ~3/4" taller than stock and i want the added clearance.

I also bought a set of 245/65/17s Falken A/T3Ws w/ 29.5" overall diameter

I sent an inquiry email to Anderson Design to see if he can make one too. Will let you know.

Have yet to test them out. Still waiting on wheels. Should be in this week or next. I will let you know. I really like the look of the sidewall. Not overly aggressive but still has some bite. I read reviews online and they seem to be good performing tires. They are severe winter rated.

Finally got my wheels and tires on and I'm really happy with the results. The ride is quiet, smooth and stable on the street. I have yet to try them off-road.

Tried Looking elsewhere without luck, but what offset are your Motegis?

Also, did you end up with a 1" lift to fit your 245s? Looks sharp!

Thanks!

Wheels are +30 offset
Stock suspension

I got a response from Anderson Fab regarding the lift kit. He would need to get a test vehicle in his shop to diagram and test on. His expertise are on Subarus but he said he could do it. He would need 5-10 confirmed preorders for him to start production after testing.

Thats what I'm getting the local shop, the good thing is that they is 15-20 mins from my house, so my car will be their test vehicle to get everything lined up for everyone else. They also said a Group Buy of 5 or more.

Oh awesome! Keep us updated. I'd be interested for sure. Unless someone in Oregon can go to ADF, is the best option.
