Throttle Blip on Downshifts?

Thanks. I'm familiar with manual transmission downshifting. So it's called blip in automatic transmissions. [emoji3]

I would just call it downshift regardless of transmission type. Blip is the term we use to describe a quick tap of the throttle which brings engine speed up.

My rx7 had a 9lbs flywheel with a 6 puck sprung bronze clutch. If you made no attempt at rev matching on downshifts it would let you know of your ignorance with a hard kick ;)

a manual transmission will always shame you for not rev matching properly, regardless of flywheel weight :)

My z06 had everything. Program what you wanted. Mazda just didn't bother. I could put tach, speed, oil pressure, whatever up there.

Target market aside, the Corvette was one of the first cars out there with a HUD.
And the Corvette is a sports car, it's always in sport mode =)
