CX-5 Serpentine Belt Replacement

Changed the 2013 CX-5's original serpentine belt last night at 103k miles. Old one had lots of cracks. New OEM was installed.

I would probably invest in a long reach ratcheting 12mm tool like this for removing the tensioner. https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)
Did you replace the tensioner? How about water pump stretch belt which is inside of serpentine belt?

Did not replace the tensioner because:

A: Did not have appropriate tool at hand.. A long reach 12mm tool. No way I'm busting my knuckles LOL. 2 12mm bolts hold it in place. 1 top bolt is easy to remove from engine bay. The bottom bolt sucks.

B: That original Tensioner is still in good shape. No leaks.

Did not replace water pump belt because...well. I got scared I wouldn't be able to put it on. Plus the original one had no cracks. Yes these are 2 sorry excuses but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! All that said...I just need to 2013 CX-5 to last us 2 more years before trading it in.

Yes you guys see that correctly. I used Painter's tape to hold the belt in place on the unto grooved pulleys. Released tension from the wheel wheel while sliding the smooth side of the belt below the smooth tensioner pulley.
