This is my first post/Introduction on this forum however I have been browsing for a while now and going through some of the guys awesome build threads
I own a 2008 Mazda 2 1.5 Dynamic and of recent purchased a 2008 Mazda 2 1.5 individual - South African spec
Need your advice/Help with the 2008 Mazda 2 1.5 individual
It seems the thermostat is jammed
from what the online searches bring up the thermostat is located on the right front of the car under the alternator? taking into consideration that this is a RHD if that makes any difference to how the engine bay is laid out
my next question is, How would I go about removing the alternator?
Thus far I have removed the 2 bolts holding it in place and the one/only tensioner I could see and the alternator doesn't budge/belt still has no play on it, It seems to have also dropped further from the original position and I can't fit it back in place as its not moving back up to line up the bolts that I removed
Has Anyone removed or replaced their alternator or worked on these cars before?
