I've got a custom built (by me) sub box that slides nicely in to the useless space to the left in the hatch. It's 7+ layers thick and very sturdy.
The bonus? It's got a brand new Stereo Integrity 12" sub in it (just replaced on warranty). The box was built specifically for this sub. If you haven't heard about them, one google search and you'll know what you're getting. A top of the line, hand built, SQ sub.
This sub is extremely efficient, and hits lower than most store bought stuff, regardless of the airspace. I now have a Mazda 3, so this doesn't fit
