Blind spot monitoring (BSM) fault

So I'm not getting the BSM alerts on my wing mirrors.
No dash indication that there is an issue.
The lights on the mirrors still flash when the car ignition comes on, so that seems ok.

Have tried to reset the car (by unplugging battery for about 30 minutes) and still no dice.

I did upgrade to 20" wheels recently, but I *think* the BSM may have still worked afterwards (it's been a while now and I only really noticed the BSM not working about 2 weeks ago).

Anyone else experienced BSM failure / fixed it?

How clean is the vehicle? Dirt/mud on the rear quarters and bumper area can impact function.

You might take a peak under the rear bumpers. On my 2016 you can see the BSM radar unit mounted to the car inside the bumper on the corners and make sure it is clean and not damaged...

had the car detailed but still the same issue, will have a look under the bumper to see if I can spot anything...so it's just the one unit or a unit for each side?
